Compact Tractor Finish Mower | 3 Point Cat 1 | PTO Driven | 16–30 HP

The BEFCO Cyclone C30 is a 3-point, PTO-driven finish mower for 16–30 HP compact and sub-compact tractors, built in 48", 60" and 72" cutting widths. It gives your tractor a clean, level, rear-discharge cut and is a simpler alternative to a belly-mounted mower.

Four rubber swivel tires and a floating Category 1 hitch let the deck follow the ground instead of the tractor, so the cut stays level over dips and rolling lawn. Cutting height adjusts from 1" to 4" with spacers on each wheel yoke.

The C30 is built for grass, not brush. BEFCO designs it for regularly mowed grass 4" to 8" tall: lawns, parks, schools, sports fields, golf courses, airports and commercial grounds. Grass over 10" should be cut twice, high on the first pass.

Which width fits your tractor?

Pick the width by your tractor's horsepower. Each width has its own minimum, and BEFCO says never to run any C30 on a tractor over 30 HP.

• 48" (C30-RD4): 16–30 HP tractors, 51" overall width
• 60" (C30-RD5): 20–30 HP tractors, 62" overall width
• 72" (C30-RD6): 25–30 HP tractors, 74" overall width

Solid or pneumatic tires?

Solid tires (8.4" x 3.2") cannot go flat, which suits ground with rocks, thorns or debris. Pneumatic tires (9" x 3.5") are air-filled and ride softer on smooth turf. Both versions use four swivel tires.

Do you need the quick hitch adapter?

Choose the quick hitch option only if your tractor has an ASABE Category 1 quick hitch. The adapter (BEFCO 001700) adds floating yokes so the deck still follows the ground.

A quick hitch usually needs a longer driveline. BEFCO requires at least 6" of overlap between the driveline halves at full extension and at least 2" of clearance before it bottoms out. Measure before you order, or call us and we'll check it with you.

A level cut without constant adjusting. The floating hitch and swivel tires follow the ground, so you are not raising and lowering the three-point hitch over every rise and dip.

Routine upkeep is quick. Grease the driveline and wheel yokes every 8 hours and the spindles every 50 hours, from the top of the deck. There is one belt, one gearbox and one tensioner to look after.

Front or rear mounting. The C30 can run behind the tractor or in front of it. Front mount is a factory-installed option, and a BEFCO dealer can convert a mower by turning the hitch and gearbox 180°.

Your tractor needs a 540 rpm PTO and a Category 1 three-point hitch, set to float while mowing. BEFCO also requires at least 20% of the combined tractor and mower weight on the front wheels; add front weights or a loader if needed.

Mow at 3 to 8 mph with the PTO held at 540 rpm, changing speed with the gears rather than the throttle. Avoid cutting below 2": repeated ground strikes shock-load the blades.

BEFCO covers the C30 with a 12-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship, from the invoice date, for the first registered owner. The warranty does not transfer to later owners.

Common wear items are excluded: engine, belts, shear pins, oil, grease, tires, tubes, hydraulic hoses, knives (blades) and PTO shafts. Warranty repairs go through BEFCO's authorized dealers, and getting the mower to the servicing dealer is the owner's cost.
